Italy’s Civil Protection agency has confirmed that the number of people recovering from Covid-19 continues to grow. As of today, there were 2,733 in intensive care, 79 less than yesterday. The trend suggests that hospitals may soon have some additional resources.
In the last 24 hours, 482 people died. The day before there were 575 victims, bringing the total number of victims in Italy to 23,227.
The total number of people who have recovered from Covid-19 in Italy is now 44,927, with 2,200 recovering just yesterday.
The number of people found to be positive on April 18th was 3,491 (almost equal to the 3,493 people who tested positive the day before).
The stable trends are encouraging as the number of tests is fairly high. Yesterday, 61,725 people were tested, meaning that the ratio of positives continues to fall.
The total number of people who have tested positive in Italy since the beginning of the crisis is 175,925.
