Italian Government Unable to Estimate When Schools Will Reopen

Italy’s Minister of Education has said that they currently are not discussing dates for when schools in the country will reopen.

Lucia Azzolina told RAI news that “They’ll go back to school when we are certain that our children, the children of the Italian people, are safe.”

There is a possibility that this will only be in the autumn, and only if social distancing can be instituted in the school setting.

The government has vowed to find a way for students to complete exams and finish this school year without needing to repeat grade levels.
