Italy’s Civil Protection agency announced on Tuesday that the number of current infections in the country was dropping. Currently, 98,467 people are positive for coronavirus in Italy, which is 1,513 fewer than the day before.
As of May 5, 29,315 people in Italy have died due to coronavirus, an increase of 236 from Monday. In even better news, six regions (Basilicata, Calabria, Molise, Sardegna, Umbria, and Valle d’Aosta) had zero deaths in 24 hours.
2,352 Italians recovered on Tuesday, bringing the country’s total COVID-19 recoveries to 85,231.
The total number of all-time cases reported stands at 213,013.
