Study: Italy’s Lockdown Averted 200,000 Hospitalizations

A new study has found that Italy’s lockdown measures have reduced infections by 45%. Researchers project that Italy’s strained hospital system would have had an additional 200,000 patients without the restrictions.

The forthcoming study will soon be published in the American Academy of Sciences, according to ANSA.

Italy’s current lockdown has been extended to 3 May.
